Write the city

Write a letter that counts

The city reviews this plan without a public hearing, so written comments are how neighbors are heard (City Q&A, question 13). The city says specific concerns about access, traffic flow and pedestrian safety can prompt further review. Identical form letters often get treated as one. This takes about 3 minutes.

Step 1Who are you?
Step 2What concerns you?

Pick the ones that are true for you. Each adds a paragraph with the facts behind it.

Step 3

One or two sentences about what you've seen. This is the part officials actually read. (Required)

Optional: add your name and street to fill in the signature. These stay in your browser.

Step 4Who should get it?
To: City staff reviewer · Community Development, [email protected]The city’s Q&A says comments go here. Always included.

What makes a comment count

Be specific

Name the place, the time and what happens. “8:05, cars back up past 1150 East” beats “traffic is bad.”

Stay in their lane

The city can act on access, traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Noise and property values aren’t grounds it can use.

Cite the plan

Point to the page: “Traffic study, page 12.” It shows you read it.

Be civil

Staff are applying state law. Respect gets read; anger gets filed.
