How we handle your information
We collect only what each form needs. We run this group from a private spreadsheet, not a big database. Here is what happens to your information, in plain words.

What each form collects
Sign-up and petition
We collect: Your name, street address, ZIP code and email. We use the address to confirm signers are local.
It goes to: Name and street go to the school board and city with the petition. Email stays with us.
Updates only
We collect: Your email.
It goes to: Used only to send you updates. Nothing goes to the school board or city.
Letter builder
We collect: Nothing about you. Your letter is built in your browser and sent from your own email app. When you open or copy a letter, we log an anonymous "drafted" count and which concerns you picked. No name, no email, no text of the letter.
It goes to: Only the anonymous count.
Where it goes and who sees it
Where it is stored
In a private Google Sheet. Only the few organizers of this group can open them.
Who sees it
Organizers see everything you submit. Nobody else does. We do not sell it, rent it or hand it to advertisers.
Petition delivery
When we deliver the petition, the names and streets of signers go to the school board and Mapleton City. Once delivered, they may become public record. Emails are never included.
Your email
Never shared or sold. Every update has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave any time.
Your address
Never shown on this site.
Analytics and spam protection
Visit counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets no cookies and does not follow you around the web, so there is no cookie banner.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a quick check that you are a person. It runs in the background and replaces puzzles like "pick the traffic lights." Cloudflare's handling of that check is covered by its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Want something removed?
Email us from the address you signed up with and tell us what to remove. We'll delete your row from the sheet. We can't pull a name back from a petition that has already been delivered.
